The organisation of the trip was excellent from start to finish. The quality of accommodation was better than expected for most of the trip. The only really basic accommodation was by Pangong Lake, but probably the best available! Our drivers and mechanic were great, always helpful and cheerful. We had a really nice group, everyone got on well. But I have to say again that Francois really did make the trip special, his knowledge an enthusiasm is amazing, and he took so many great photos of everyone.

It was a great trip and I am very glad that I have done it. I think it probably included the most amazing day I will ever have on a motorcycle (Pan Gong Lake to Tso Kar). I met some amazing people (the VR team and the other riders) and will look back on this as one of the best things I have done.

A great trip except for losing our luggage at Leh on the way home. One thing I believe could have been better was when we went to Leh airport getting registered with the flight staff could have been sorted by a local as the baggage labelling was a bit haphazard. This point was highlighted when we didn't have our bags and they hadn't been labelled properly.

An amazing experience - Mongolia is a great country to explore, with friendly people and massive landscapes that go on for ever. Suitably challenging off-road riding, wonderful group of travelling companions, and particularly well guided by Tuk. Himalayans are the ideal bike for this environment.

In the Tracks of Genghis Khan
Overall, we loved this adventure. Despite some bodily and ego damage as a result of it, we enjoyed this immensely. Tuk, our guide, was fabulous; the group we were with all bonded despite not even speaking the same language! We absolutely loved the scenery, particularly how it changed over time. We didn't particularly like the tarmac sections due to the condition of the road - and even less so when it was raining and one couldn't see the holes. Tuk very cleverly organised our travel to avoid rain when possible. Professional team who we really appreciated.
