a annoter world; I can't believe it before; a unique experience with a permanent stress; weather did not play with us; Bad road and local traffic requires our attention; no possibilities to look on countryside...
I’ve done the Stage moto off road in Beaujolais twice. A version 2 with a higher level instruction would be attractive and I’m sure many others would sign up too.
It is a shame that you have discontinued your tour Sur les chemins d’une France oubliée. I would gladly sign up for that.
Firstly I would like to re-iterate that your team (in the office or on the ground locally) were outstanding! They really made this trip smooth.
Also the trips set out and the accommodations booked (well, almost all) were good relative to the environment. Although I would say that I feel a bit shortchanged having paid a single room premium, but we all had single rooms by default through the low number of riders!
As described above for me it would have been good if the amount/intensity of the rides would have been clearer before/while booking. I may have made other choices as it was very intense and I sometimes felt out of my depth.
I think what also could be a good idea is that instead of having a buffer day at the end, you introduce a a rest day between two of the circuits. I think that would have helped me for instance. Just a thought.
All in all I think the experience was a positive one, but it was a bit touch and go for a bit. As said, your team on the ground was great and helped me all the way and that made a massive difference!
The route seemed a bit too long the second day, considering beginners are making a big effort constantly. At the same time, more than 1 day of training would have been beneficial to be able to practise the different techniques longer and receive more feedback.
The communication was difficult without the French language. This is the only thing stopping us from joining another adventure with Vintage Riders right away . Because for the rest it was a wonderful experience. Thanks to everyone involved!!
I really don't think the trip could have been better for me.
I was the only Englishman on the trip but didn't feel left out at all, maybe it was better because of that. There's the possibility that if the group was a 50/50 French/English split, it would become two separate groups, and that's not what I went for.
This was definitely the most exciting/spectacular/tiring trip I've done for many years.
